MEMORIAL WEST COMMUNITY CLUB POOL RULES

MAIN POOL

  • During the summer season, the pool hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday hours are 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. ALL POOLS are closed on Mondays for cleaning.
  • All members and guests must check in at the Pool Desk upon arrival. Guest fees are $3 per person.
    Children ages 10 and under are not allowed at the pool without an adult.
  • If the water is OVER your shoulders, you are in the deep end! To be allowed in the deep end, you must demonstrate your swimming ability to a Lifeguard without using flotation devices, i.e. floaties, noodles, float suits, and inner tubes.
  • Anyone playing with or near the main drain in the deep end will be asked to leave the pool immediately. There are no warnings.
  • The Main Pool closes at 8 p.m. There is NO SWIMMING in the Main Pool without a Lifeguard. Trespassers will be reported to the Constable.

BABY POOL
  • The Baby Pool is not the responsibility of the Lifeguards. Parents, watch your children! Please stay within arm’s reach.
  • No one is allowed to sit on the fountain in the Baby Pool.
  • Baby Pool is for children ages 5 and under only.
  • Please make sure your child is wearing a proper swim diaper. Report any mishaps to the Lifeguard immediately.

LAP POOL
  • Lap Pool is for swimming laps.
  • The Lap Pool is not the responsibility of the Lifeguards.
  • If your child wants to swim laps, you must stay with him or her at all times.
  • Lap swimmers ALWAYS come first.
  • Swim Team uses the Lap Pool during the month of June from 7:30 a.m. until 12 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Aside from Swim Team use, the Lap Pool is CLOSED on Mondays for cleaning.

GENERAL CLUB RULES
  • You may bike, skateboard, or roller skate to the club, but please remember these are not permitted on Club walkways. DO NOT leave your equipment at the entrance to the pool. A bike rack is located outside the Game Room.

MWCC Pool Party Policy

All Pool Parties should be reserved through Texas Aquatics Enterprises.

Texas Aquatics Set-up Fee - There is a $35.00 non-refundable reservtion fee.

Lifeguard Fee - Lifeguards are $20/hour for a minimum of 2 hours. Texas Aquatics will determine the number of guards needed to safely operate the pool.

MWCC Facility Fee is in lieu of guest fees. We do not take a damage deposit; however, member will be responsible for significant damage during a party. It is important that you count the number of swimmers AND non-swimmers at the party. Accidents happen, and if a lifeguard for your party needed to take care of someone, it could cause the rest of the party to be out of the pool until the proper lifeguard/swimmer ratio is restored.

Summary of Pool Party costs:

  • For parties of up to 15 people (swimmers & non-swimmers), there is a facility use charge of $50.00 payable to MWCC. There are NO guest fees, NO Texas Aquatics fees. Please set up with Pool Manager, Elizabeth Elliott at 281-558-7667.

  • For parties of 16-40 people (swimmers & non-swimmers), there is a facility use charge of $50.00 payable to MWCC, in addition to the $35 set-up charge and $40 (min) guard fee. Please call Texas Aquatics to arrange this party.

  • For parties of 41-65 people (swimmers & non-swimmers), there is a facility use charge of $100 payable to MWCC, in addition to the $35 set-up charge and $80 (min) guard fee. Please call Texas Aquatics to arrange this party.

  • For parties of 66-90 people (swimmers & non-swimmers), there is a facility use charge of $150 payable to MWCC, in addition to the $30 set-up charge and $120 (min) guard fee. Please call Texas Aquatics to arrange this party.
